My Favorite Steak Stir Fry Lo Mein Recipe
Beef stir fry might already be one of your go-tos when cooking an easy dinner, but next time try adding lo mein for extra pazazz. Skip the Chinese takeout and make this dish at home in only 30 minutes!
INGREDIENTS
Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time 30 minutes
8 ounce skirt steak
8 ounces lo mein noodles
1 teaspoon sesame oil + 1 additional teaspoon sesame oil
1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1-2 Tablespoon garlic paste
1/2 onion thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper thinly sliced
Bok Choy sliced
Everything But The Bagel seasoning
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
3 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon sriracha
¼ teaspoon pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Season steak with salt, pepper, and hoisin sauce. Set aside.
In a small bowl whisk sesame oil, sriracha+ pepper. Set aside
In large pot with boiling water, cook the lo mein noodles according to package directions. Drain the noodles, toss with 1 tsp sesame oil, set aside.
As the noodles cook, add EVOO to a large skillet. Add garlic paste and kimchi, and stir fry for 30 seconds. Add steak, and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from pan, leaving any juices and oil behind.
Add red pepper, bok choy, and onion. cook for 5-6 mins, until everything is crisp tender. If needed, add a little more oil.
Add the the lo mein noodles, and pour the sauce over the top. Toss until fully coated, and cook for a 1-2 more minutes to insure veggies are tender and sauce starts to thicken.
Plate your steak and lo mein. Top steak with pickled onions.
