Easy Game Day Pan con Lechon Sliders
Easy Pan Con Lechon Sliders: Way Easier Than Texting Back
Let’s talk about something that should be really, really simple: texting. You know that text you send at 10 PM after the best date of your entire life that says, “Hey I made it home.”? And then you sit there, phone in hand, thinking, Hey, any moment now! But hours pass, no text comes, and suddenly you’re spiraling through the worst-case scenarios. I mean, sure, he’s probably fine, but in your mind, he’s now stranded on a desert island with a volleyball named Wilson.
This is not me being dramatic. It’s a dangerous world. He probably died. And not to mention, what’s life without a little seasoning, right? Speaking of seasoning, let’s move on to something that is actually as simple as it should be: Pan Con Lechon Sliders.
These sliders are juicy, delicious, and packed with so much Cuban flavor that they’ll have you texting yourself just to tell you how good they are. And the best part? They’re so easy, anybody can make them with no problem.

Baked in the oven until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, these pulled pork are perfect for a game day party or a quick lunch or dinner. You’re welcome!
INGREDIENTS
Prep Time 15 minutes | Cook Time 30 minutes
1.5 lbs Pre-made Cuban Roast Pulled Pork (find this from your local grocery store. If you want to make it from scratch, I have the VERY VERY BEST recipe for you here)
12 Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls
8 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
1/2 stick of butter
1 medium yellow onion
Pork gravy marinade (if you don’t make your own pork. if you do, just use the juices from there)
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
Salt + pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
In a skillet over medium heat, add your half a stick of butter. As that melts, slice your onion thin. Add the onion to the skillet with melted butter and turn the heat down low. Add 1/4 the packet of pork gravy seasoning. Stir consistently until the onions are translucent and golden brown. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Brush a 9×13 baking dish with melted butter or line with parchment paper. Set aside.
Separate the rolls. Slice the Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls lengthwise to separate the top half from the bottom half. The rolls usually come stuck together so don't break them up individually, just slice the entire thing lengthwise.
Place the bottom half of the sweet dinner rolls on a baking dish.
Layer in the Swiss cheese, cooked and shredded Cuban roast pork, onions, and top with another layer of swiss cheese. Place the top half of the dinner rolls on top.
In the skillet where you cooked the onions, add the garlic and mix. Brush with the melted butter/garlic onion juices.
Bake the rolls until the cheese has melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown and toasty about 10-12 minutes. Once you remove them from the oven, you can slice and separate them into 12 sliders. Serve hot.
Enjoy!
